eagerly watch

Psalm 5:1-3 (NASB) A Psalm of David.
Give ear to my words, O LORD,
Consider my groaning.
2 Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God,
For to You I pray.
3 In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice;
In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.

This morning, Psalm 5 was the beginning of my daily, chronological bible reading. Verse 3 leaped off the page. It reminded me of my writing yesterday morning. I remembered how anxious I was, yesterday, to get to work on my computer, but not to write an article to post on our website. When I prayed, I had asked God to please make a way for me to sort yet another of my computer files. I'm so close to being finished!

Then it occurred to me, on my list of things I did yesterday, in the first 2 hours of the morning, I neglected to make mention of my prayer. How could I forget prayer?! It's easy to do, but so vitally important we don't.

Psalm 5 was written by king David, and so often I can personally relate to his meditation and supplications. He really poured out his heart to God. I love the words of verse 3:

'I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.'

That's what I sometimes do. With expectant anticipation, I watch & wait for the Lord.

( I should do it more often ).

Notice, also, the words in italics: my prayer and eagerly

Do you know why these words are Italicized?

This is a good time to tell you about a phone app my dear sister Kayla recently told me about.

The Literal Word App is absolutely FREE, and JC & I love it! We have it on our phones, and it is the best app we've found for a simple & easy way to define the words of the Scriptures according to the original language.

When, while reading the Scriptures, you come to a word you want to learn more about, you simply tap on that little symbol you see at the top right corner of the screen, to the left of the magnifying glass (Search symbol).

App-solutely awesome! = ))
