Honey!

For breakfast, this morning, I made for JC & me bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. The bagels had raisins & cinnamon, so I asked JC, “Do you want honey on yours?” As I squeezed some onto my bagel, it slipped out of my hand and honey oozed everywhere.

Sticky messes are so annoying!

At first I was annoyed by the mess, but, then I remembered the abundant life God gives to us. Throughout these books of the Old Testament,
Exodus
Leviticus
Numbers
Deuteronomy (Read Chapter 11)
Joshua
God repeatedly speaks of a promised land flowing with milk and honey. It is the land He gave to His chosen people for a possession. I encourage you to read about it and recognize the rich prosperity He provided His people.

My honey incident reminded me of why God wants me to tell you about Him. He not only is a good & gracious God, surrounding us with His lovingkindness,

but also He has the sovereign power to make things happen according to His plans for us.

1 Peter 3:15 NASB
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
always being ready to make a defense
to everyone who asks you to give an account for
the hope that is in you,
yet with gentleness and reverence;

His Son Yeshua, the Christ, displayed the Father’s deity and character here on earth for mankind to witness. The New Testament Scriptures, in which we too may find eternal life, are their testimony.

1 John 1:1-4 NASB
What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have looked at and touched with our hands,
concerning the Word of Life—
and the life was manifested,
and we have seen and testify
and proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father
and was manifested to us—
what we have seen and heard
we proclaim to you also,
so that you too may have fellowship with us;
and indeed our fellowship is with the Father,
and with His Son Jesus Christ.
These things we write,
so that our joy may be made complete.

Hebrews 9:14 NASB
how much more will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit
offered Himself without blemish to God,
cleanse your conscience from dead works
to serve the living God?
